Plan now to take part in Rochester’s 12th annual Hospice Regatta on Friday, August 20 and Saturday, August 21, hosted by Genesee Yacht Club. This is the area’s largest charity regatta, with more than 60 sailboats expected to race on Saturday, plus hundreds of Hospice supporters attending great parties on Friday and Saturday. Proceeds from the Regatta benefit Hospice services provided by Lifetime Care, the Rochester area’s leader in helping families care for loved ones who are terminally ill.

Over the past 11 years, the Regatta has raised more than $500,000 to support improvement and expansion of Hospice services, including creation of Lifetime Care’s Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.

Friday, August 20:

2:30 pm: Community Cruise on Lake Ontario and/or the Genesee River

3:00 pm: Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse Tour

5:00 pm: Wine Tasting at Genesee Yacht Club (GYC)

6:00 pm: Clambake at GYC. Dinner, beverages, and a special remembrance event, with live music by Po Boys Brass Band.

Saturday, August 21:
8:00 am: Skippers Meeting, GYC

10:00 am: Sailboat racing begins on Lake Ontario

3:15 pm (approx): Parade of Boats at GYC

4:00 pm: Regatta Barbecue at GYC. Dinner, beverages & raffles, music by Phil Marshall Trio.

6:15 pm: Awards Ceremony

Sunday, August 22:

8:00 am: Rochester Race Skippers Meeting, RYC

10:00 am: Rochester Race begins on Lake Ontario
