Proceeds from the Hospice Regatta remain in our community to help assure that terminally ill patients enjoy comfort and dignity at the end of life. In 11 years, The Hospice Regatta has raised more than $500,000 to support hospice services provided by Lifetime Care.
There are two ways to support Hospice:
1. Raise $250 or more and be recognized as a Hospice Hero.
2. Donate $250 or more and receive event tickets and other benefits as a Regatta Sponsor.
Be a Hospice Hero
Individuals and teams are invited to honor loved ones’ memories and attend the Regatta by raising money to support Hospice.
Anyone who raises $250 or more is recognized as a Hospice Hero and receives (a) tickets to the Friday Clambake or the Saturday Party, and (b) Entry Fees covered for the Regatta and Rochester Race or souvenir T-shirts.
By reaching a fundraising goal, Hospice Heroes enjoyed an enormous sense of practical and emotional achievement. At the Regatta, they can write loved ones’ names on the 2010 Memorial Sail.
Whether working alone or as a team, supporters can turn to Lifetime Care’s Fundraising Help Desk for assistance at every step in their fundraising for hospice.
Click here to create a personal (or team) donation page to raise funds for Hospice online. (It only takes about five minutes to set up a donation page that accepts credit-card and debit-card payments.)
Be a Regatta Sponsor
When individuals or a businesses or groups make a contribution to sponsor The Hospice Regatta, they help to assure that people with end-stage illnesses will have access to services that promise them comfort and dignity at the end of life.
For any donation of $250 or more, a Sponsor can choose to receive tickets to the Friday Cruise and Clambake or to the Saturday Party, along with other benefits.
A Trophy for Sponsored Boats
The Hildebrandt Spirit Award is presented annually to the skipper/crew that raises the most money to support Hospice.
The 2009 winner was Bob MacIntyre, skipper of Double Shot and an original member of the Hospice Regatta Steering Committee. (AT RIGHT - Mac accepted the Award with his daughter Robin Mazejka at his side).

We present Art Glass Blessings custom-made by Nancy Gong to skippers and crew who have reached milestone levels in contributions to Hospice during multiple years of participation in the Hospice Regatta.
